Ghana continues to face the devastating effects of climate change and environmental degradation. In response, IMPLEMENTERS has undertaken strategic tree planting campaigns aimed at restoring degraded lands, increasing green cover, and promoting long-term environmental sustainability.

The Atewa Forest remains one of Ghana's most important ecological zones and biodiversity hotspots. In partnership with the Ghana Forestry Commission (Abuakwa South District), Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND), and student volunteers, IMPLEMENTERS undertook a major tree planting exercise within the Sagyimase Reserve in the Atewa Forest landscape.

Beyond planting trees, the initiative also focused heavily on climate education. Participants engaged in awareness sessions on climate change, environmental conservation, and the importance of protecting natural ecosystems.

In June 2025, IMPLEMENTERS partnered with Twellium Industries under the “Green With Twellium” initiative to further support Ghana's national greening agenda through another large-scale tree planting exercise in Adjen Kotoku.

Plastic and textile pollution continue to pose a major environmental challenge in Ghana. From blocked drainage systems and flooding to polluted coastlines and threats to marine ecosystems, poor waste management remains one of the country's most urgent climate and sanitation concerns. IMPLEMENTERS is committed to solving the waste crisis, which requires both awareness and direct action.
In partnership with Mayekoo, Miniplast, and several environmental and community organisations, IMPLEMENTERS joined the global observance of World Cleanup Day with a major beach cleanup exercise at Laboma Beach. The exercise brought together hundreds of volunteers, climate advocates, institutions, and community members committed to taking practical climate action.
